- GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS -
1. Driver’s age:
Minimum age:
- 23 years of age and have held a driving license for at least one year for M1-M2-M3-L car categories.
- 25 years of age and have held a driving license for at least two years for all others categories.
Maximum age: Drivers must be under 75 years of age.
Underage: Drivers who are under the age of 23 and have held a valid driver’s license for at least one year are able to rent a car under the following conditions:
➔ Daily charge of 15.00€ plus for young driver ages between 19 - 22. Maximum charge 150.00€.
➔ Full Damage Cover is not applicable.
➔ The renter has to provide a valid credit card on arrival. If a Credit card is not available a cash deposit is required.
➔ OkayRide car rental, has the right to with draw a 700.00€ credit guarantee deposit from the provided credit card. If a credit card is not available, the guarantee deposit can be paid in cash. Credit card guarantee deposits will be returned to the bank account of origin within 5-7 business days after the expiration of the rental contract and after inspection of the vehicle is done. If the deposit guarantee has been made in cash, the amount will be returned on the date of car return, after inspection of the vehicle
2. Additional drivers
One (1) additional driver can be registered in the rental agreement without any extra charges. The maximum amounts of registered drivers in the rental agreement are three (3) including the main Driver. Daily charge of 5.00€ for third additional driver. Maximum charge 90.00€. Individuals driving the rental car without being registered in the rental agreement will be liable 100% for their actions, without being protected by insurance in any circumstance. In case of accidents or damages to the vehicle the unregistered driver will be held accountable.
3. Ferrying the cars
Ferrying the rental vehicle is strictly prohibited.
4. Exiting the Greek borders
Exiting the Greek borders with the rental vehicle is strictly forbidden.
5. Price and infringements
All fines and administrative penalties resulting from the driver's fault are fully borne by the lessee.
6. Safety
All authorized car drivers are exempt for damage to the rented car by fire and are insured with civil liability
to third parties for death, bodily injury, and property damage.
7. State of the vehicle and drop off
The renter shall receive the vehicle in perfect operating condition. In any case detailed pictures of the car will be taken by a OkayRide employee to document the condition of the rental car. We recommend you to always take pictures of the rental car as well to avoid misunderstandings at the return and inspection of the vehicle. Furthermore, you agree to preserve said conditions and drive the vehicle in accordance with the Greek traffic law and regulations and those regulations here described in the General Terms and Conditions.
8. Roadside assistance
Roadside assistance is available 24/7 on the whole island of Crete and is always included in your booking. In the case of required roadside assistance please call one of our 24-hour mobile numbers and we will provide you with assistance immediately.
9. Accidents
In the unfortunate case of an accident, the renter should immediately call one of our 24-hour support numbers, so that we can provide you with assistance on how to handle the situation. You are not allowed in any case to leave the location of the incident without informing us about it. If the renter fails to provide the report to our company then he is obliged to pay for repairing costs of any damage caused to the rental vehicle. If the driver or one of the passengers is injured you should also inform the Police/Hospital. If by any chance the other involved party leaves the accident place, take a photo or video and write down the plate number. We will also call our insurance partner for an accident report.
10. Accident cost file (IAF)
The driver is charged 40.00€ in case of accident, regardless of fault, as well as in case of a fine resulting from a violation of the Greek Law. This amount is non-refundable. 12.Gas/oil policy The renter on the return of the vehicle delivers the car at the same level of gasoline /diesel that received it. If this is less than the one who received it, then it will be charged on the spot with the difference between fuels and in addition the fuel service charge.
11. Refueling charge
Same to same fuel policy. In case fuel is not at the same level a Fee 10.00€ and plus missing fuel Will be charged.
12. Child seats
The first is complimentary, with no additional charge. For a second incur a daily fee of 4.00€. The maximum charge for additional child seat is 40.00€ Child seats, infant seats, and boosters are the responsibility of parents, OkayRide employees do not fit them in the car.
13. GPS
Available only after reservation and with a charge of 10.00€ per day. Maximum charge
140.00€.
14. Smoking and Pet/Animal Policy/ Removals and Furniture Transport
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles provided by OkayRide. This includes, but is not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, and any other form of smoking. For the safety and cleanliness of our vehicles, the transportation of pets or animals is not allowed The vehicles provided by OkayRide are intended for standard transportation purposes and are not permitted to be used for removals or the transport of furniture. This includes, but is not limited to, the conveyance of household goods, furniture, appliances, or any items exceeding the standard capacity and design of the vehicle.
15. Biological wash
In the event of excessive dirt, or vomiting in the car, requiring additional biological cleaning, A charge of 80.00€ will apply
16. Car type changes
The company reserves the right, subject to availability, to provide a different type of car from that of the original reservation with a corresponding, or larger category.
17. Grace Period
A rental day is calculated as 24 hours and 30 minutes. In case the rental exceeds this period, An additional rental day will be charged. Up to two (2) hours grace period is being applied to the end of the rental period prior informing us of the delay. In case of returning the rental vehicle before the agreed return date stated in the rental agreement, refunds are not possible in any case. Refunds for the unused time of the vehicle or unused extras (GPS, Baby Seats etc) within the agreed rental period are not possible in any case. We do not have a maximum rental
18. Key loss
The responsibility for all expenses related to the replacement of lost or damaged keys, as well as the retrieval of keys locked inside a vehicle, rests with the customer. This encompasses the transportation expenses for delivering a spare key to the vehicle's location or the costs associated with the technician's service if the key is inside the car.
21. Out of Office hours fees
For rental car pick up or drop off during the following hours an additional fee applies that will automatically be added to your reservation: 22:30 - 01:00
► +25,00€ 01:00 - 6:00
► +35,00€ 6:05 - 7:59
► +25,00€ For Hotel deliveries or returns during the following hours an additional fee applies:
22:00 - 7:59 - +100,00€
19. Documentation
To be able to rent a car from OkayRide you have to provide a valid driving license and ID card or passport. Driving Licenses issued in EU, US, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Israel, Russia and Ukraine are accepted. An International Driving License is required in all other countries. In the event of failing to provide us with a valid driving license, your booking will be cancelled and the prepaid amount of money will not be refunded.
